Q: Who operates the 11th Avenue Inn? A: Beverly Hawkins (Innkeeper) has managed the Inn for 4 years, cooks breakfast most days, and lives at the Inn. David Williams (Owner) does the phone/email reservations and lives in the house next to the Inn. Christine (cook/housekeeper) and Jack (housekeeper/handyman) keep our guests fed and the inn clean and in working order.
Q: Do you have reviews or accreditations? A: Trip Advisor is a popular web site on which past guests have posted comments. We are an inspected member of the Seattle Bed & Breakfast Association since 2003 and also the Seattle Visitor and Convention Bureau.
Q: Who stays at the 11th Avenue Inn? A: These numbers are not scientific but give you an idea: 70% from the USA, 20% from Canada, and 10% from the rest of the world. 25% on business, 75% on vacation exploring the city or visiting family/friends in the neighborhood. Travelers who want to enjoy a good value at a friendly, clean, safe, and interesting place situated where the locals live, and close to downtown Seattle!
Q: How do I get to the Inn from the airport? A: We are in the Capitol Hill neighborhood, right next to downtown. Both downtown and the Inn are a 25-minute drive from Seattle-Tacoma airport, a taxi fare of about $35. Other options include $2/person for the public bus with transfer downtown, hotel bus line for $10/person with transfer downtown, and Shuttle Express van service to the door at $28 for one person.
