If you rent a bike while in Seattle, you can lock it to the bike rack that we have outside of the Inn dining room. Please ask the bike rental shop for a strong U-lock, because bikes with a less secure lock are more susceptible to theft. Bike rentals are about $50/day. Popular rides around town include the Burke-Gilman Trail (runs through Ballard-Fremont-Wallingford-U-District-SandPoint-LakeCity-Kenmore), Downtown-to-Alki, Lake Washington Blvd to Seward Park, and Myrtle-Edwards Park to Discovery Park.  Seattle has lots of hills, but also marked bike lanes and paths, it's rated one of best cities for bicycling.

Seattle also has a point-to-point bicycle sharing service called Pronto. It's more for local daily commuters than for visitors from out of town. You can learn more at www.prontocycleshare.com.
