The 11th Avenue Inn is on a tree-lined side street with other houses and apartment buildings from the turn of the century. It's a little oasis in a walking neighborhood close to downtown Seattle. There are over 50 restaurants within a 15 minute walk. We are one block north of Cal Anderson Park, one block from the bus stop, and a short walk to the Broadway, 15th Avenue, and Pike/Pine shopping and entertainment districts.
If you have a car, we have free on-site parking in our parking lot behind the Inn. If you are visiting Seattle without a car, you can walk or bus to downtown Seattle. There is a bus stop one block from the Inn served by the #43 bus which travels to the Pike Place Market neighborhood downtown. The #8 bus also stops there, and goes directly to Seattle Center where the Space Needle and other attractions are location. There is also convenient taxi service to the Inn. When you call for a taxi, it generally arrives in 3-10 minutes.
First-time visitors to Seattle are often surprised by the hilly terrain in our city. The 11th Avenue Inn is on a hill next to Downtown Seattle named Capitol Hill. Capitol Hill is one of seven hills in Seattle. There is not a city or state capitol on our hill. The walk to downtown is a downhill walk, and it's uphill coming back. If you walk downtown and spend the day walking around and don't want to walk back up the hill there is convenient bus and taxi service back to the Inn.
